Etxeondo's story began in a small workshop in a farmhouse of the same name in the town of Billabona, near San Sebastian in the Basque Country. Etxeondo's founder, Francisco Rodrigo, started his career in high fashion, working for leading brands including Dior and Balenciaga, before his love of cycling inspired him to realise a range of clothing that would deliver unparallelled aesthetic and athletic excellence.
From the very beginning, exquisite care was taken over every detail; a complete dedication to creating the best product, hand-finished using the finest materials, craftsmanship and suppliers. That obsession with quality continues now, with a highly skilled and experienced staff proud of their product and proud of what their company represents.
Etxeondo remains a family business; we work together, ride together. Our passion for the sport continues to drive us. Every piece is still designed locally in Irura and manufactured in Castejon in Navarra, the home region of the legendary Miguel Indurain.
Each design is refined on the road, on the wooded climbs and twisting descents of the Basque Country and by exacting professionals in cycling’s iconic races. Some of the best teams and the best riders have been welcomed into the Etxeondo family: Delgado, Indurain, Kelly and Contador. From the cold and cobbles of the northern classics to the heat and high mountains of the grand tours, only when every detail has been perfected will a garment go into production.
